Audition Information

What to prepare

For all instrumentalists minus drums:

• Prepare 2 audition pieces, or varying styles, between 30-45 seconds

• Sightreading

• Major, Natural Minor, Mixolydian and Dorian scales (all 12)

• (Optional) Improvisation to a jazz standard of your choice

For drummers, please prepare to play 4-8 bars of the following styles:

• Swing

• Shuffle

• Bossa Nova

• Funk

• Pop/Rock​

Also prepare 2 songs of contrasting styles

For vocalists, please prepare the following:

• 2 songs of different styles. Verse/Chorus or 1:00 of singing time
